Ashley Hughes

Ashley joined Swift Kennedy & Associates in 2018 after residing in the suburbs of Philadelphia for many years. She attended Pennsylvania State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from the Smeal College of Business in 2010. Immediately upon graduation, Ashley began her career in the insurance industry working with New York Life. She worked primarily with small business owners helping them to protect their personal and professional assets. As a three-time Executive Council qualifier, Ashley earned the title of Employee Benefits Mentor and assisted other agents in the voluntary benefits marketplace.

At Swift Kennedy, she was promoted to the position of Director of Account Management, where she leads a team to provide clients with exceptional customer service. Through the years, Ashley has continued to expand her benefits knowledge by helping mid to large market clients drive savings opportunities while also remaining competitive with their benefits offerings. She has experience working with a variety of self-funded plans and offers strategies that include wellness programs, overlay programs, and pharmacy savings plans.

As a past Rotary President (2013), Ashley believes in the importance of philanthropy and now gives back to the community through Downtown Bellefonte Inc., a non-profit organization geared towards the economic development and historic preservation of Bellefonte with a focus on stimulating small business opportunities throughout the community.

In her free time, Ashley enjoys listening to podcasts, traveling, and skiing. She resides in Bellefonte, PA with her husband John, her daughter Tessa, and a very lovable but hyperactive black lab named Nittany.
