Bill Shipman's Profile and Contact Information

Bill Shipman offers a unique combination of human resources experience and employee benefits expertise to assist clients in meeting their goals.  He understands that employers need to remain competitive, having worked as both a decision maker and an advisor to HR managers and business owners. 

Bill is well-versed in fully insured, self-funded, and level funded medical plans, as well as other group and voluntary benefit plans. 

Before joining Swift Kennedy, he worked as an Implementation Manager at a major carrier, where he set up pre-tax benefit plans and explained their value at employee benefit meetings throughout the western U.S.  Prior to that, he owned a benefits consulting company in Colorado.  He has also held volunteer leadership positions at Rotary International and several chambers of commerce.

A Johnstown native, Bill holds a master’s degree in Labor Relations from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  In his spare time, he enjoys visiting with his daughters, hiking, cycling, traveling, and studying history.
